National Day Peach, also known as Yingqing Peach or "Jiukeng Peach," gets its name from ripening close to China's National Day. It is an excellent, extra-late-maturing honey peach variety with large fruit, well-suited for cultivation in southern regions. The fruit is ovate, tapering to a pointed tip with a small protrusion at the top. It has a shallow yet distinct suture, and both halves are symmetrical. The fruit is large, averaging over 200 g, with some reaching up to 500 g. The skin is yellow-green with a faint red blush, while the flesh is white, fine-textured, and juicy, with medium fiber content. When fully ripe, soluble solids reach 19%. The flavor is intensely sweet and aromatic, with a clingstone pit, and the variety does not crack. It is prized for its exceptional aroma, crispness, and sweetness.
