Description:
Meishuo is a premium early-season apricot variety, bred by the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) from the cross of 'Mixiang' and 'Katy'. Officially certified in 2018 and granted Plant Variety Rights in 2019, this variety has gained recognition for its jumbo fruit size, sweet flavor, and attractive appearance.

Appearance:
The fruit is near globose with a beautiful golden-yellow skin and a striking rosy red blush on the sun-exposed side – a visual that gives the variety its name (“Mei” means rose). The flesh is golden-yellow, soft, fine-textured, and juicy with very few fibers.

Flavor:
Meishuo delivers an intensely sweet and aromatic flavor. Soluble solids content reaches 15.1% Brix with an edible rate of 95.3%. The pit separates easily from the flesh (freestone), and the kernel is sweet and edible – a rare and valuable trait in apricots.
