Ninghai Bai is a premium white-fleshed loquat variety from Ninghai County, Zhejiang, China – the first loquat variety in China to receive National Forest Tree Promotion Certification (2004). It was selected from local seedling white-fleshed loquat trees in 1994 and officially released in 2004. In 2019, it was granted National Agricultural Geographical Indication protection, and in 2025, it won the Gold Award at the Yangtze River Delta Premium Loquat Competition.
Appearance:
The fruit is long-round to round with a beautiful pale yellow-white skin that has few rust spots and is thin and easy to peel. The flesh is milky white, fine-textured, and exceptionally juicy. Average fruit weight ranges from 40–65 grams, with premium fruit reaching up to 86 grams.

Ninghai Bai loquats are prized for their melt-in-the-mouth tenderness and clean, refreshing sweetness. Soluble solids content ranges from 13%–16% Brix, with the highest recorded at 19.2%, and titratable acidity ≤0.4%.
