Product Name: Jinhuang Mango (Golden Mango)
Description:
Jinhuang Mango, also known as Golden Mango, is a premium mid-to-late season mango variety (Mangifera indica L. 'Jinhuang') originating from Taiwan, China. It was bred by farmer Huang Jinhuang in 1976 from a natural cross between 'White Ivory' and 'Keitt' mangoes, and introduced to mainland China in 1997 by the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Today, it has become one of China's flagship premium mango varieties, primarily cultivated in Guangxi Baise, Yunnan Honghe, Hainan Ledong, and Sichuan Panzhihua.
A Mango That Redefines Size:
The defining feature of Jinhuang Mango is its extraordinary fruit size. Normal fruits weigh 688–952 grams on average, with the largest specimens reaching 1.2–2.5 kilograms — making it one of the largest commercial mango varieties available. This impressive size, combined with its golden-yellow skin and nearly fiber-free flesh, creates a premium eating experience that is highly sought after in both domestic and export markets.
Flavor & Texture:
Jinhuang Mango delivers an exceptionally smooth, fiber-free eating experience. The flesh is deep orange-yellow, fine-textured, and creamy, with a sweet, low-acid flavor. Soluble solids content reaches 16.5%–20.3% Brix, with total sugar of 14.9% and acidity as low as 0.20% — resulting in a sugar-to-acid ratio of approximately 70, meaning the fruit is almost completely free of tartness when fully ripe. The edible rate is remarkably high at 73.5%–88.13%, thanks to its thin, flat, boat-shaped seed that accounts for only about 7% of the fruit’s weight.
