Zhongyoupan No. 9 is a premium early-middle ripening yellow-fleshed flat nectarine variety, developed by the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Officially released in 2017 with national Plant Variety Rights protection, this exceptional variety combines large fruit size, intense sweetness, and outstanding storage tolerance.

Appearance:
This peach features a distinctive flat, saucer-like shape with smooth, glossy, hairless skin typical of nectarines. Its orange-yellow ground color is covered with over 95% red blush, making it highly attractive for fresh-market sales. Bagged fruit develops a beautiful golden-yellow skin. The flesh is bright yellow and firm with a non-melting texture.

Flavor:
Exceptionally sweet with a soluble solids content of 15% or higher and low acidity, delivering a rich, satisfying eating experience. The non-melting flesh ensures excellent storage and shipping tolerance.

Size:
Average fruit weight is 200g, with large specimens reaching up to 350g – making it one of the largest flat nectarine varieties available.
