Fenghua Yulu is a watermelon variety native to Fenghua District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It was developed through introduction and selection from Shanghai Longhua watermelon in 1883. The name is derived from the meaning "precious nectar and jade dew".
The fruit is round and plump, with a white skin that has a reddish tint. The flesh is delicate and juicy. After ripening, it can be sucked with a straw, but it is not easy to store or transport.
This variety ripens from late July to early August, with a shelf life of about half a month. The average weight of a single fruit is 146 grams, and the maximum weight is 354 grams. The soluble solids content is 13-15%.
